Report of dumping to the County yields positive results.

It has been reported that, as a result of reports of an abandoned mattress and other trash along Georgetown Pike, that an inspector from Fairfax County’s solid waste management group visited the site on Thursday morning. Following his inspection, he has issued a notice to the homeowner that calls for proper removal within a 10-day period, otherwise the County will pick up the offending materials and charge the property owner for the cost of disposal.

This is another reminder that Fairfax County can be effectively responsive to complaints from its residents, so long as those concerns are properly reported to the County
