A few Great Falls residents have voiced their alarm about the removal of many trees along a stretch of Leesburg Pike opposite Potomac Vegetable Farms. It has been reported that the reason for the extensive clearing taking place is that a stormwater management pond is to be built on the site, to meet the environmental requirements of the project to widen that portion of Route 7 from four traffic lanes to six.
