The Virginia Room of the Fairfax County Public Library, which houses a special collection of historical and genealogical materials, is interested in collecting personal and historical records of the current pandemic. The goal is to help future generations understand what it was like to live in the County during the pandemic experience, with first-person stories from journals and other primary sources, such as documents, manuscripts, images, recordings and other sources of information created during the era.
Interested participants should submit their stories, photographs, journal entries, short video clips, art images or other digital files by June 10 using this online form. Contributors who do not have a Google account may email their stories directly to the Virginia Room at va_room@fairfaxcounty.gov
