Long lines all day for early voting in Great Falls
Early voters line the sidewalk next to the Great Falls Library / 11/17/2020

A long line formed early at the library for the first day of early voting in Great Falls. Despite the chill in the air, the sunshine and blue skies seemed to engender a relaxed mood on the crowd, as people adhered to safety guidelines by wearing masks and maintaining distance standards.

In addition to early voting, this was also the first day that a ballot drop-off box was present for receiving absentee ballots. Located just outside the entrance to the library, absentee voters were able to return their ballots immediately, as they were not required to wait in the line for the early voters.

There will be two additional dates for early voting at the Great Falls Library, on Saturday October 24 and Saturday, October 31. The hours for these dates are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the drop-off box for returning absentee ballots will also be present on those dates and times. In addition, absentee ballots may be returned via drop-off box on Election Day, November 3, at the Great Falls Library or any polling location from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the hours during which the polls are open.
