As part of its efforts to provide coronavirus-related information and assistance in multiple languages, Fairfax County has created a COVID-19 Language Portal. The page features enhanced information and resources in several languages including:

  • Arabic / العربية
  • Chinese / 中文
  • Farsi / فارسی
  • Korean / 한국어
  • Spanish / Español
  • Urdu / اردو
  • Vietnamese / Tiếng Việt
  • American Sign Language

Residents will be able to find videos, audio files, fact sheets and more translated to different languages via the language portal. The information on the portal is not machine translated, but rather the materials have been verified.

Need Other Parts of the Website Translated?

To make it easier to access information on the fairfaxcounty.gov website, the County has made translation functionality more prominent with a button that appears across all pages. If you are in need of machine-translated content, simply look to the top right of the county website on desktop (or under the menu on mobile) and click on the flags icon to have the page translated in the language of your choosing. As with any machine translation, the conversion is not context-sensitive and may not fully convert text into its intended meaning. Consequently, Fairfax County Government does not guarantee the accuracy of the converted text.

COVID Information Available by Text in Spanish

Fairfax County now provides COVID-19 text alerts in Spanish. To sign up, text FFXCOVIDESP to 888777. These COVID-19 text alerts will offer up-to-date information about public health guidance, county programs or services to help residents, and key news.
