The Smithsonian reopened the National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center on July 24. Numerous safety measure have been put into place to keep guests safe, and the size of the space lends itself to distancing requirements without affecting the visiting experience.
Although entrance to the center remains free, it is necessary to go online to obtain an entry-timed ticket, so that the volume of visitors can be managed for maximum comfort. The fee for parking has been reduced to $10/car. The museum is located near Dulles Airport, at 14390 Air and Space Museum Parkway, Chantilly, Virginia 20151.
The center is open every day except December 25 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Visitors will need to have their timed-entry pass, wear a face covering, and maintain a safe distance from others. The $10 parking fee is waived after 4:00 p.m., and the free, timed-entry passes are available here.
