In-person and in public 4th of July activities return to Great Falls

The 4th of July in Great Falls never felt so fine. After the social isolation of the past 15 months, American’s birthday was once again a day to enjoy ourselves in public thanks to Covid-conquering vaccines.

The pandemic is not over, but for those whose health was not damaged by the coronavirus and who are now fully vaccinated, the day brought opportunities to celebrate in the traditional ways that we could not have imagined a year ago. Our parades and barbecues were well-deserved.

The 5K Walk/Run offered the opportunity for many to take in parts of Great Falls not typically seen by the public, and the parade and festivities which followed drew large crowds showing their patriotic spirt. Celebrate Great Falls Foundation, which organizes the 4th of July celebration, as well as other events throughout the year with the support of volunteers and sponsors, is to be commended for making Great Falls a truly wonderful community.
